In August 1985 BMW offered a facelifted 3 Series Sedan Second generation LCI (also known as second generation facelift) with internal naming E30 which stayed unchanging after facelift.

BMW offered various engines for 3 Series Sedan Second generation LCI including 111 HP, 127 HP, 98 HP, 114 HP, 123 HP, 84 HP, and 114 HP.
