In 1988 Audi offered a facelifted 100 Quattro C3 facelift (also known as third generation facelift) with internal naming Type 44, Type 44Q which stayed unchanging after facelift.

Audi offered various engines for 100 Quattro C3 facelift including 87 HP, 89 HP, 162 HP, 134 HP, 131 HP, and 89 HP.
